Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Referral- Lake County Health Department  
For an eligibility screening, please call IBCCP Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 847-377-8430.

The program is located at the Health Department/Community Health Center’s main facility at 3010 Grand Avenue in Waukegan. Free breast and cervical cancer screenings are offered to eligible Lake County women through the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (IBCCP), located at the Health Department and Community Health Center.

 

Through IBCCP, women can receive, at no charge to them, the following services: A complete medical exam, a clinical breast exam and pap test, referral for a free mammogram at a local hospital, ongoing yearly exams and medical follow-up are also provided. Uninsured or Under-Insured Lake County women who are 40 years of age or older, who are uninsured or underinsured, and whose family income does not exceed 250% of federal poverty guidelines, are eligible. Women 35 years of age or older are eligible for cervical screening services only.

PACE INFORMATION

​

30 minute Pick-up Window:
A trip is considered on time if the bus arrives within 30 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time. Expect the bus to arrive within a 30-minute window of your scheduled time. For example, if your pick-up is at 9 a.m., the bus may arrive anytime between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

 

Shared Ride program:
Pace demand response service is a shared ride program and other riders may be picked up and/or dropped off during the trip. Most trips will take longer than a direct trip. It is important that riders keep these factors in mind when requesting a pick-up time.
