Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)

The Illinois Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) provides public access to government documents and records. Requests filed under FOIA, response letters, and responsive documents are, themselves, public records.  Antioch Township is committed to transparency and providing the public with access to our records.

Request Submission Process

All FOIA requests must be made in writing via mail, e-mail, fax, or in-person delivery.  The request should clearly state that you are asking for information under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act.

Schedule of Fees Notice

Per the requirements of the Act 5 ILCS 140/6, Antioch Township will provide the first 50 pages of documents free of charge.  Any additional copies will be $.15 per page for black and white letter or legal size documents. For color or unusual sized copies, the actual costs of copying will apply.  Electronic copies are actual cost if the purchase of a recording medium is necessary.

*Waiver of fees may be requested pursuant to 5 ILCS 140/ Freedom of Information Act.

Payment is required before any documents are copied and/or mailed.
